Teacher Assistant

Job Description:

“Assisting teachers in the creation and preparation of lesson plans, providing support to students individually or in groups, taking attendance, and monitoring students during school routines to ensure their safety and well-being, as well as maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.”

What do I do?

“In my role as a teacher assistant, I help the teacher by providing support in the classroom. This involves preparing materials, engaging with students, and overseeing activities both inside and outside the classroom during physical education sessions. My responsibilities include implementing the teacher's lesson plans, establishing and maintaining daily classroom routines, and fostering the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child. I always prioritize the safety and well-being of the children. In the absence of the teacher, I ensure effective communication with parents and staff to keep them informed about the students' progress.”

When did you start at Egenolf?

June 2005

What makes Egenolf so special?

“Egenolf is special because of the highly educated and experienced staff that works year around to teach children who are just starting out in school; and setting up a good foundation for the rest of their education. In addition, Egenolf offers children summer camp to familiarize them with being in a school setting.”

Something people probably don’t know about me.

“When I am not working with kids, I love to bake and do crafts during my free time. I like to spend time with my family and grand dog.”
